Welcome to the official Web Site for the Whisper Wood Townhomes Homeowners Association.
This website was created to give our residents and would be residents a new way to access information about our community.
Every one enjoys getting into the Holiday Spirit by decorating their units up. However please remember when setting up lights, wreaths and any other temporary decor that you do not drill, hammer, staple, glue or pierce the buildings or fences. Any items found to be doing this will be removed and any damage to the building or fences will be repaired at owner’s expense. Please use non-destructive, clips and hangars. Click here for the Fyler on Holiday Decorations.
Please help us help protect our neighborhood by periodically turning in an Alert Slip with the Houston Police Department. This is a great way that we at Whisper Wood can ask the Houston Police Department for a greater presence in our community.
Its now that time of year to plant something. As you might have seen we the Association has removed several trees along Hammerly Blvd. With the advice of our Grounds Committee we are planning proper replacement of the trees. We also hope to add to other areas of the property as well. More to come...
Residents can plant small flowers directly in front of their units. Fill free to consult with the Grounds Committee on what to plant. Please remember that planting Trees must be approved by the Association with a Architectural Request Form.
• Plant flowers & shrubs in the front of my unit
• Put out a sculpture or other art
• Change my doors or windows
• Install lighting or other electricals
• Hang a flag
• and other projects in the common areas
Please remember you need to have an approved Architectural Request Form. If you don’t have approval you may be asked to remove the item. You can get the form at a board meeting, our click Architectural Request Form. Also check out the Architectural Standards to help with references.
Why is it important to clean your dryer vent?
A clothes dryer can catch fire. The August 2012 report by the U.S. Fire Administration noted that over 2,900 dryer fires occur every year with over 35 millions dollars worth of property loss, 5 deaths and over 100 injuries reported. Failure to clean was the leading contributing factor that led to these fires.
We Love Barbecue at Whisper Wood!
As it is that time of year we are all striking up the barbecue pits to cook up our favorate barbecue please remember the following all barbecue pits must be 10 feet away from buildings, fences and sheds. No barbecuing is allowed on second story building balconies buildings 8,9 & 12. Per City of Houston Fire Marshall Ordance
Watering the common area is permitted every day there are no more day restrictions. Watering is still prohibited during the heat of the day from 12pm (noon) to 7pm. Patio plants or container gardens are exempt as long as the water is not being wasted such as large amounts of water flowing from the patio into storm drains. We thank you for your comments and concerns. Please help us keep our landscape green and prevent waste.
